Xbox One S Bundle Announced With Minecraft's Best Worlds
The Minecraft Creators bundle will allow players to take part in winter sports, embark on a pirate adventure, meet wild animals from the savannah, and even turn their world into a comic book.
At the same time, the Swedish programmer Marcus Persson, an employee of Jalbum, worked on a project called RubyDung in his spare time – according to his plan, this game was to combine elements of games such as Dwarf Fortress, Dungeon Keeper and RollerCoaster Tycoon. Persson previously participated in the creation of the multiplayer survival simulator Wurm Online.
Persson tried to introduce a first-person mode in RubyDung so that you could view buildings from a favorable angle – a similar feature was in the Dungeon Keeper strategy, where the player could “inhabit” various creatures. Persson noticed that in RubyDung, polygon objects did not look attractive when approaching, so he remained unhappy with the result until he saw Infiniminer. Persson told himself that this was the game he always wanted to make, and wrote the first Minecraft prototype as an imitation of Infiniminer, using code fragments and graphics from RubyDung.
