The whole game world includes landscapes, mobs, various objects, all of this is presented in the form of blocks. The texture of the game is presented with a low resolution of 16 × 16 texels. The game was developed by Swedish programmer Marcus Persson. It was originally planned to create something like a clone of the game Infiniminer. But as a result, the Swedish programmer created a creation with its own uniqueness. The game itself was in development for a week, after which it was presented to the public on one of the TIGSourse forums. The popularity that the game received contributed to the creation of a separate forum. After a long alpha and beta testing, the official release was released on November 17, 2011.
