Facebook trains AI with Minecraft

A Facebook research team is teaching artificial intelligence to play Minecraft.

The game world is randomly generated. The probability of starting a new game and discovering around the same location is zero. This adds to Minecraft fascination. Locations of the generated world are very diverse. There are several biomes that differ not only in appearance, but also in flora and fauna:

Mushroom biome is considered the rarest. The hero will have to explore the game world for more than one hour to find it. Instead of grass, mycelium grows on mushroom islands. They feed on numerous mushroom cows – unique creatures of the biome.
